An early 20th century Burmese unmarked silver small bowl, Mandalay circa 1910
Of compressed rounded form, the body with embossed decoration of various figures in a continuous frieze probably drawn from a jataka tale, including a yoke drawn by two oxen. All reserved against a chased ‘wallpaper’ foliate scroll background below architraves, the upper section with chased decoration. The underside with a chased with a circular motif of a deer.
