A yellow sapphire and pearl bar brooch, circa 1905

The cushion-shaped yellow sapphire, between 4.5 and 4.7mm pearls, to a polished bar brooch, length 7.1cm

The yellow sapphire measures approx. 11.6x9.3x7.9mm and is of a light medium yellow hue with good transparency. Inclusions, including surface reaching inclusions, are visible under close inspection. Minor nibbles to the facet edges visible under 10x magnification. The pearls are well matched. The yellow mount is unmarked and untested. Light surface wear. The clasp is in good working order. Overall in good condition.
