An early 20th century Chinese Export silver bowl, Canton circa 1900 by Hou Thai, retailed by L&B (unidentified)
Qing dynasty, of hemispherical form with an applied moulded rim all upon a tapering collet foot. The body with chased decoration of a forest of bamboo populated with various birds, all against a textured ground, the front with a vacant shield shape cartouche. Marked to the foot rim with retailer’s mark L&B twice and artisan mark 厚泰 (HOU TAI).
