Of rectangular form with curved corners, the hinged lid opened by a plain thumbpiece. The lid engraved with a scene of Britannia seated, flanked by a garland of laurel, trophies of was surrounding an oval cartouche engraved with initials TT or TJ, all with WELLINGTON above, all against a striated ground. The underside with an engraved band of rosettes and foliage. The sides with wrigglework decoration. Gilt interior. Fully marked between lid and base.
