*** The Decretum Gratiani forms the first part of the Corpus Juris Canonici. It contains the corpus of lectures given by Gratian, a Camaldulens monk from St. Felix, in Bologna in mid-12th century, and which the author later renamed ‘Concordia discordantium canonicum’. Scarce. Last sold at Sotheby’s in 1975.
