Ming Dynasty.

Finely carved wearing an official's robes and a headdress formed as three birds over a tall chignon, his hands held together in front of his chest, the surface with an even layer of gilt, all raised on a later wood stand, 35cm H. (2)

Provenance: an English private collection since the 1980s.
