C.f. A comparable teapot and cover was sold at Rob Michiels auctions, 23rd April 2016, lot 401 (€4,080 inc. premium).
An identical teapot and cover, although without gilt-painted flowers, is in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, object number AK-RBK-15828 - the gilt-painted flowers on the present lot are therefore likely a later addition applied in Europe. This piece is also illustrated in 'Chinese ceramics in the collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam: the Ming and Qing dynasties', p. 137, cat. nr. 144.
