A George III sterling silver bougie box, London 1781 by John Wakelin & William Taylor (reg. 25th Sep 1776)
of cylindrical form, with pull off lid with a hinged swivel wax cutter. Engraved to the side and lid with a crest of a weasel(?). Fully marked underneath and with lion passant to lid flange, also with scratch weight 9=12.
