A late 19th century Anglo – Indian unmarked silver novelty chess piece pepper pot

Raj period, formed as a rook. The body with chased decoration of foliate scrolls with rosettes against a textured ground. The bayonet fitted castellated top with a domed centre chased to resemble tessellated flower heads.

Height – 5.2 cm / 2.05 inches

Weight – 55 grams / 1.77 ozt
