Notes:Edgar Plans is a contemporary Spanish artist whose work combines the energy of street art, comic iconography, and fine art technique to explore themes of innocence, resistance, and social justice. His signature “Animal Heroes” wide‑eyed, childlike characters wearing masks and capes serve as allegories for purity, solidarity, and moral courage within a world threatened by inequality and ecological collapse. He uses vivid colors, spontaneous line work, and overlapping textual elements to layer meaning and emotion. Over the years, Plans’s works have been acquired by prominent public and institutional collections, including the Caixa Foundation, the Masaveu Foundation, the Illuro Foundation, the Museum of Fine Arts of Asturias in Spain, and the Contemporary Art Museum La Habana in Cuba.
