An early to mid-20th century Japanese silver Imperial presentation bonbonniere, probably Ikoma circa 1930
Shōwa period. Modelled after a kōgō, of rectangular form composed of three pull off sections, the top with the sixteen-petal chrysanthemum kikumon of the Imperial Household. The sides with engraved cranes and fir trees. Two ring attachments to each side. Satinised finish. Unmarked.
