A George IV sterling silver teapot, London 1823 by John Bridge of Rundell, Bridge and Rundell (reg. 25^th Nov 1823)

Of fluted ogee compressed circular form leading to a everted rim with an acanthus scroll and scallop shell interspaced with anthiemion border, all raised upon a stepped circular base with fluted band. The top with similarly fluted cavetto section leading to an egg and dart rim, the disc lid with slightly domed fluted and threaded centre, surmounted by a fluted ivory and silver finial atop a vair calyx. The curved spout with matted acanthus base.The ivory C scroll handle with cast and matted junctions of spreading oak branches and leaves with acorns. Fully marked underneath and part-marked underneath, also stamped T underneath.
