A 17TH CENTURY SICILIAN (TRAPANI) GILDED AND PAINTED ALABASTER FIGURE OF CHRIST AS THE MAN OF SORROWS the standing figure wearing a gilt cloak tied at his chest, his head turned to sinister and mouth opening revealing carved teeth within, raised on a shaped plinth carved with a central cartouche flanked by a pair of pierced scrolls, 39.5cm high
