An early 20th century Japanese gold, silver and enamel presentation bonbonniere, probably Ikoma circa 1925
Shōwa period. Modelled after a kōgō, of rectangular form with a pull off lid. The top with the mon of House Yamashina in applied gold reserved with champlevé translucent purple mon of the Shimadzu clan to each side adjoined by green enamel tendrils. The Two ring attachments to each side. Signed underneath.
