An early 20th century German sterling silver tea caddy, Hanau by George Roth and Co, import marks for Chester 1902 by M Friedlander & Co

In the 17th century Augsburg style, of hexagonal form, each panel embossed with a different bust of a Roman Emperor reserved with foliate scrolls against a textured ground. The pull off lid with chased decoration and a twin scroll loop handle. Fully marked underneath, and part-marks to the lid and handle. The underside with Hanau marks including a crowned P.
