A pair of George III sterling silver candlesticks, London 1777 by Robert Makepeace and Richard Carter (reg. 20th January 1777)
Of circular form, the bases of dished form, the edge with decorated with embossed foliage and a beaded edge. The baluster column with applied foliage, with a gadrooned knop, each with a removable sconce with a beaded edge. Each fully marked underneath, with lion passant to capitals and sconces. (2)
