The ovoid bowl moulded to the exterior to depict a crane stood amidst large lotus flowers emerging from the water, the moulded areas splashed with green, yellow and aubergine glazes and set against a turquoise blue ground

26cm wide, inside rim 16.7cm diameter

PROVENANCE:

From a private collection formed in Asia between the 19th and 20th centuries. The family travelled between (then) Burma, Ceylon and China from the mid-19th century, amassing works of art as they travelled, which stayed in the family for over three generations.
