A large late 19th / early 20th century Anglo - Indian unmarked silver bowl, Lucknow circa 1900

Raj period, of compressed circular form with convex sides. The centre with embossed decoration in the Burmese style of figures including a decapitated man, a temple, all below a band of rosettes between acanthus scrolls, with a band of acanthus leaves. The underside with a chased peacock displayed within a circle.

Diameter – 30 cm / 11.9 inches

Height – 18.1 cm / 7.2 inches
