A George IV sterling silver teapot, London 1825 by Joseph Craddock (reg. 13th Oct 1825)

Of compressed ogee circular form, raised on four beaded scroll feet with rocaille mask junctions, the body all over decorated with embossed foilate scrolls and flower heads against a matted ground, with a cartouche to one side. The slightly domed hinged lid with embossed decoration surmounted by a detachable flower and leaf sprig finial. The C scroll handle with acanthus terminal and flower heads, ivory insulators. The spout with flower heads and rocaille decoration. Fully marked underneath, and part-marked to the handle, lid and final.
