A George III sterling silver teapot stand, London 1787 by John Wakelin and William Taylor (reg. 25th Sep 1776)
Of octagonal form with a moulded rim and ovolo edge, heightened with stampwork. The field with an engraved border of swags between oval cartouches edged with stampwork. The centre engraved with a crest of a demi-lion rampant holding in the paw a branch. Raised on four bun and bracket feet. Fully marked to the reverse.
