AN IMPRESSIVE PAIR OF 20TH CENTURY PIETRA DURA AND GILTWOOD CONSOLE TABLES, possibly Italian, in the 19th century style, the tops with a black marble ground inlaid with a central backet of flowers in pastel tones issuing two scrolling branches hung with lily of the valley, an inner border of light brown marble imitating tortoiseshell, a thin white border then a final dark green marble rim with outer giltwood border, on bases of black gesso painted with branches of white flowers, central gilt masks and fluted borders with shell motifs, the gilt piped cabriole legs topped with chevrons of marble imitating tortoiseshell terminating in acanthus feet, each 85cm high, 117cm wide, 61cm deep
