Oval form with a straight tubular spout opposite a wooden C scroll handle. Later embossed decoration of foliate scrolls, roses and thistles, the lid with flat chased decoration of similar, engraved with a later crest of a dolphin naiant, pierced through the sides by two fishing-spears in saltier, tied together in a bowknot at the top. Later gilt interior. Fully marked underneath, makers mark only to lid. (extensive damage and repairs).
