The finely potted vase of archaistic gu shape, decorated to the exterior to the splayed lower section with a continous figural landscape scene, rising to the bulbous central section decorated with naturalistic floral sprays of lotus, peonis and prunus, the top section terminating in a wide rim, decorated with a continous scholarly landscape scene depicting a figure in a boat nearby his attendant all against the backdrop of distant mountains, buildings and pine trees
