AN EARLY OUTDOOR PORTRAIT OF A LADY & GENTLEMAN, c.1840s. Ninth plate daguerreotype, the lady seated and with the gentleman stood to her side in a garden with dense vegetation behind them, some significant tarnishing to peripheries of the plate, resealed, however with original seals remnant left in place, the plate in plain gilt matt with arched rectangular aperture, housed in a red maroon side-hinged case with simple embossed lid design.
