Bernard and Pamela Myers lived for the first five years of their mariage with Pamela's recently widowed father Geoffrey Fildes at 88 Osborne Road, Windsor. The present view is painted from Bernard's studio at the top of the house there, where he enjoyed a birds eye view of the surrounding roofs. Following Geoffrey's death in 1963 Bernard and Pamela moved to Scarsdale Villas in South Kensington to be closer to the RCA where Bernard was teaching.
