AN ANTIQUE HAMADAN LONG KELLEH, WEST PERSIA

The abrushed indigo field with overall multicoloured open herati design, in abrushed light yellow border of linked stylised rosettes and angular tendrils with flowering vine and barber-pole stripes. approx 373cm x 160cm. Very nice example for this type, unusual size. Design is well drawn with very good colours. This carpet has slight localised wear to the top pile, don to knot collar in few places. Otherwise good pile. Salvages original. One end with original kilim, other end with very slight loss to fringes and touch to outer babrber-pole stripe. In general this carpet is in very good usable condition. Attractive piece.
