A LATE 19TH CENTURY ENAMEL AND BRONZE MOUNTED DISH

A LATE 19TH CENTURY ENAMEL AND BRONZE MOUNTED DISH, decorated to resemble Sevres style porcelain, the centre decorated with three cherubs who have caught a dove in a small cage, surrounded by an Arcadian landscape and a basket of flowers, within a gilt foliate border, on a turquoise ground with gilt highlights, with bronze Japonisme style mounts cast in relief with storks, fans and blossom trees, with pierced, scrolling handles and raised on three Chinese style supports terminating in paw feet, the reverse stamped 'B&G',

50cm diameter x 11.5cm high

PLEASE NOTE: This dish is painted and gilt decorated enamel rather than porcelain.
