Of typical globular shape with a long, protruding, curved spout, resting on a tall, splayed, faceted foot, with a hinged lid in the shape of a lion's face, to one side an articulate oval handle with brass studs and a large drop-shaped pommel at the top, the body enhanced with copper-inlaid roundels with engraved animals and geometric motifs including griffins and infinite knots, 24cm x 21.2cm.
