A George III sterling silver small vinaigrette, Birmingham 1812 by William Pugh

Of curved rectangular form, with engraved decoration of guilloche bands, the lid centred with a square cartouche engraved with an initials W in flourished cursive script. The gilt interior with a hinged pierced grill of a dove, a flower head, and leaves. Marked to either side of case, the grill unmarked.

Length – 5.2 cm / 1.8 inches

Weight – 7 grams / 0.23 ozt
