A George II / III silver baby’s rattle, London circa 1760 by Matthew Ferris (reg. 21^st Sep 1759)

With embossed decoration of flower heads and gadrooning, knopped sections with six bells suspended. Whistle section with coral teether, suspension loop deficient. Engraved with initials to whistle section S+H in Roman script. Makers mark only to whistle section.
