Opaque pigments heightened with gold on paper, the horizontal composition portraying groups of village devotees gathering to worship the murti of Shrinathji, the murti set in a temple niche for a special puja performed by the tilkayat (head priest) and his disciple, two holy men holding a large fan and a tray with ghee candlelight, each bearing the typical Vaishnava tilaka (mark) on their forehead, other characters assisting at the scene covering their heads and holding their hands together in a sign of respect and devotion, the scene set within black rules, and bright red borders enhanced with vegetal scrollwork, the recto backed on wasli paper, 22.8cm x 40.5cm.
