A cased Victorian unmarked parcel gilt silver posy holder, circa 1880
The bucket form bowl with cut card work arabesque rim, the panelled baluster handle with a pierced terminal. The body with engraved and parcel gilt aesthetic decoration of birds in rectangular cartouches, ferns and other plant as well an arched geometric band. Fitted with a pin and retaining chain. Housed within an original fitted cased with faux silk interior and tooled and gilt leather exterior.
