An early 18th century unmarked gold mounted tortoiseshell pique work snuff box, probably English circa 1710
Of oval form with reeded mount and two stand-away hinges. The lid with a pressed scene of a bugle horn with a spear, quiver of arrows and a bow, upon a hillside with a column and flowering urn to the left and a tree with buildings to the right. The body with a pique work frieze of a hound chasing a rabbit and a house chasing a boar, with vegetation and a net.
