A mid-18th century German enamel novelty bonbonniere or snuff box, Berlin circa 1750 probably by Fromery, with Louis XV French silver mounts Pairs 1750-56

in the form of a tricorn hat, white ground enamel with gilt raised decoration, the hinged lid and base with a putto riding a classical dolphin with a ship behind. The silver mounts marked with the discharge for Julien Berthe for small silver.

Length – 6.5 cm / 2.5 inches
