A late 19th Century German ormolu mounted Royal Bonn vase, circa 1890 of baluster form painted with orchids against a graduated burgundy ground, stamped and hand painted marks to the drilled base and mounted with an ornately cast ormolu collar and seated upon an ormolu base decorated with four birds, their arms open and seated amidst flowers and twigs, the whole upon four naturalistically modelled tortoise feet, height of vase 31cm, total height 41cm
