A RARE 18K YELLOW GOLD QUARTER REPEATER HALF HUNTER POCKET WATCH

Date: Circa 1920's
Movement: Quarter repeater
Dial: White enamel, black Roman numerals, black outer minute division, blued hands, subsidiary dial for seconds at the 6 o'clock position
Case: Polished 18K yellow gold, blued Roman numerals on the front and back, engraved with the Ormathwaite family coats of arms, a rampant lion over a shield divided between a dagger and a ship, upholding the family motto.
Accompaniments: with an 18K yellow gold chain, stamped to each side of the hoop baton, further embellished with a front and back gold locket encasing a black and white portrait of a young woman, and a gold seal ring, stamped 18K, Birmingham, 1812, engraved with a rampant lion and the motto Pro Rege, associated with the family crest of the Ormathwaite Family, now exctinct.

*This half hunter pocket watch belonged to the Hon. Nigel Christopher Walsh. He was the 8th child of Sir Arthur John Walsh, the 2nd Baron Ormathwaite.
