The field with polychrome palmettes and scrolling leafy vine around cusped arabesque medallion enclosing flowerhead centrepiece. Beige arabesque spandrels. In beige border of palmettes and scrolling floral and leafy vine between arabesque and plain stripes. This rug has full pile of fine kurk wool quality and is in very good condition throughout. Both ends and selvages original. Extremely fine weave, approx; 10 x 10 knots, woven on silk foundation. Very elegant piece.
