A George III sterling silver gilt eight piece dessert set, the forks London 1801 by Digby Scott and Benjamin Smith I

Comprising four dessert forks and four dessert knives, the knife blades London 1816/1817 by Sarah Purver, the handles marked the same for Digby Scott and Benjamin Smith I. The pistol handles with shell terminals and chased rocaille work, also chased to the fork prongs the knives similarly decorated with C scrolls and textured decoration. Filled handles. Each marked to the blades, part- marked to the fork section, the handles with makers mark and lion passant to even, one with two makers mark twice only.
