Magnums of Alexandre Bonnet Oenotheque
3 Magnums of Alexandre Bonnet Oenotheque from 3 Vintages

3 Magnums of Alexandre Bonnet Oenotheque from 3 Vintages - 1985, 1990 & 1995

1985 - Winter had been very cold, temperature going down to -25°c destroyed about 10% of the vineyards. Humid and gloomy spring, early summer, grapes started to ripened mid-august. It has been a late harvest (started September 30th) and fortunately September and October have been very healthy. We ended up with low quantities with very high quality potential. Limited quantity: 100 Bottles.

1990 - Almost half of the region was affected by the frosts that came in April, and cool conditions during the latter part of spring affected the flowering, which was prolonged. However, a hot, dry summer saw the development of a bumper crop and notably big grapes. The rain that fell in September was welcome, and helped the ripening process. 1990 is a superb vintage definitely in the top 10 of last century. Today, the champagnes display good body and marvelous depth of fruit as well as great finesse and still very good longevity. Limited quantity: 100 Bottles.

1995 - The vintage came as a welcome relief to the winemaker after the previous four vintages, which had been difficult, to say the least. Growing conditions were good throughout the summer, although there was some rain in September causing some rot to develop. The grapes were harvested in the second half of September and during October in predominantly dry weather. At this stage the Champagnes are similar in character to the 1988s, possessing marvelous aging potential. Limited quantity: 100 Bottles Direct from producer
