A George III sterling silver vinaigrette, Birmingham 1802 by Samuel Pemberton

Of elongated octagonal form, the lid with engraved initials SIB in flourished cursive script, edged with bright cut decoration, the underside dated 1807. The gilt interior with a hinged filigree grill. Together with a George IV vinaigrette, Birmingham 1826 by John Bettridge, of rectangular form, the lid with a rectangular cartouche engraved with initials M.E.W, otherwise with engine turned decoration. The gilt interior with a hinged pierced grill of foliate scrolls. Each fully marked between lid and base, the Bettridge grill with lion passant only. (2)
