A PAIR OF MINIATURE CHINESE CINNABAR LACQUER CABINETS.

Qing Dynasty, 18th / 19th Century.

Each cabinet of rectangular form, with a smaller compartment above a larger one, opening to reveal a pair of small drawers, the doors all above a shallow drawer, all decorated with different figurative scenes of warriors, the sides and top with wan pattern, supported on gilt-metal feet, the back and interiors lacquered black, 64 x 38.5cm (6)

Provenance: English private collection, acquired in China in the early 20th Century, thence by descent.
