A George II silver ‘toy’ miniature brandy pan, London circa 1730 by I.D crowned, for Josiah Daniel II (first reg. 22^nd Feb 1714)

Of baluster form with everted edge, with a plain turned fruit wood handle. Engraved underneath with contemporaneous initials K*T in Roman script. Marked inside with makers mark thrice.

Length – 8 cm / 3.05 inches

Weight – 16 grams / 0.51 ozt

The mark I.D crowned was thoroughly attributed to Daniel, in Cameron, P., Identifying ID with a crown above, Journal of the Antique Metalware Society, Volume 21, 2013.

This mark is found upon silvered brass ‘French plate’, toy silver and other small items of silver.
