ANDRE METTHEY (1871 - 1920) - A ceramic bottle vase, circa 1910, hand decorated beneath a translucent crackle glaze, the body with concentric squares, spaced by roundels ;picked out in iron red and gilt highlights, the neck with palmettes and floral motifs above a crackle glazed gilded circular foot, the underside impressed with maker's monogram with clover intaglio, height 27.5cm
