A BRONZE BUST OF LORD BYRON IN GREEK UNIFORM France, 1854, signed Chardigny Pierre-Joseph (1794-1866) The dark brown patinated bust raised on a rectangular white marble plinth and a stepped base, portraying Lord Byron in Greek uniform wearing an open-neck shirt, a waistcoat decorated with pearl-shaped buttons and abstract twirls, and a mantle or cloak, the writing 'Byron' carved on the base of the bust, signed and dated to the base 'Chardigny 1854', with foundry stamp 'HY LORIN & CIE EDITEUR PARIS', 24cm high.
