A GREY SCHIST GARLAND HOLDER WITH A WINGED CELESTIAL
PROPERTY FROM THE MOITA COLLECTION OF GANDHARA ART
Ancient region of Gandhara, 2nd - 3rd century

The architectural element carved in the shape of a tall volute, the external side of the volute with a winged celestial, his hairstyle similar to Gandharan Bodhisattvas and apsaras, holding his hands tight together, mounted on a later wooden base, 27.5cm x 23cm including the base.
