Carved in a dynamic pose, mounting and subduing a leonine creature, grasping it by the head with his right hand, the left raised above his head, holding a circular loop, the stone with grey and russet inclusions, 15cm H.
Provenance: a British Diplomatic Collection, acquired in Beijing prior to 1953.
