AN EARLY 20TH CENTURY TAXIDERMY BENGAL TIGER (PANTHERA TIGRIS TIGRIS) BY VAN INGEN & VAN INGEN OF MYSORE, INDIA dated 1936, with full head mount, glass eyes and open mouth in snarling pose, with typical canvas backing with serrated green felt trim, stencilled number verso and with original label, offered with provenance including newspaper cuttings (please note the provenance is now unframed as apposed to the lot image), 323cm long (from nose to end of tail), 224cm wide (from front paw to front paw when outstretched)
