Of rectangular shape, each shutter lacquered, polychrome-painted, gilt and carved with three rectangular panels in relief, the central and largest panels featuring Safavid-revival banquet scenes with a courtly couple being entertained by musicians and looked after by attendants, the top and bottom panels with princely equestrian scenes with courtly riders escorted by a guide on foot, the top panel on the left slightly different and portraying a Mongol ruler on horseback under a golden canopy holding a yellow bird on his hand, each panel framed within dense gilt vegetal and animal decoration reminiscent of Safavid lacquered bindings, featuring storks, hares, deer, antelopes, and a variety of other birds and mammals, each shutter approximately 166cm x 45.5cm.
