A RARE 18TH CENTURY CARVED AND POLYCHROME DECORATED TOBACCO SHOP SIGN MODELLED AS A NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN the figure seated on a barrel over a carved intergral base, wearing a headdress of feathers and a tunic with parcel gilt decoration, with original paintwork, 39cm high There is a similar tobacco shop sign in the collection of the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery.
