Alberici (Giacomo) Historiarum Sanctissimae et Gloriosiss. Virginis Deiparae de  Populo Almae Urbis compendium, FIRST and ONLY EDITION, including errata leaf, lacking  frontispiece? & †6 (last leaf of  index and image of the Virgin), title within woodcut frame with  engraved arms of the dedicatee,  cardinal Ottavio Acquaviva, to  verso, and 13 only, of 14,  illustrations, including 2  depictions of the church (façade  and aisles, main altar), and 11  popes’ portraits, pages ruled in  black throughout, small hole to  title, scattered spotting towards  end, light browning, small tears to  B2 & F2 slightly affecting running  title and illustration, occasional  annotations, modern quarter  cloth, new endpapers,  [IT\ICCU\BVEE\010068; Olskchi  583; Cicognara 3569], 4to, Muzi  Niccolò, Rome, 1599.  *** Scarce work on the Legend of Santa Maria del Popolo and one of the earliest guides to Italian  churches.
